Why Mick's baby girl rocks.

She is the youngest daughter of Mick Jagger, Mum is the glamorous Jerry Hall. In her first ever interview, rock princess Georgia May Jagger, 16, reveals what she really thinks about Dad's music, why she forages in Mum's wardrobe, and how she gets on with her siblings.

Have you always had a passion for clothes?

Yes, I’m interested in every aspect of fashion. I think it’s in my bones. When I was younger I used to be my mum’s stylist, picking things out for her to wear. I’d say to her, ‘If anybody asks you who styled you tonight say, “Georgia”.’

Did you ever stop her from wearing something you thought was inappropriate, such as a miniskirt, and then steal it for yourself?

I did take all her miniskirts. I didn’t tell her she couldn’t wear them but I told her one night that her skirt was too short – she came down the stairs and I was like, ‘God, Mum, you are 50.’

What labels do you love?

American Apparel and All Saints are my staples. And I love the Oli online stuff. The silver sparkly dress I’m wearing below is really wicked – I will wear it to parties. ....

SFTW Meets Glasvegas. "We have gone from 2nd gear to 5th in one movement."

THE last time SFTW spoke to Glasvegas singer James Allan he said he would know when he’d made it when he started buying Tesco’s Finest instead of own-brand foods.

That was in January when the Scottish quartet were one of a handful of hotly tipped bands poised to make 2008 their year.

Today they’re more than that. They’re the band everyone name-checks as their favourite new act and who former Creation boss Alan McGee declared were “the best Scottish band for 20 years”. ...

Teddy Thompson

"I admit I'm retro ... not a lot of emo going on."

IT can’t be easy going into a music career after your parent has already scaled the highest heights imaginable. Try asking Jakob Dylan or Sean Lennon.

For Teddy Thompson, it’s somehow a very different story. Despite both his parents, Richard and Linda Thompson, being folk-rock legends he claims he doesn’t feel the same pressure.

“They’ve always been very supportive and I like talking about them,” he says. “They’re cult figures who deserve more success than they’ve ever had.”

Teddy has just made the record of his life. A Piece Of What You Need bristles with upbeat pop tunes matched to incisive lyrics and confirms a compelling talent that first emerged in 2000 with a self-titled debut album.

The new record’s first single In My Arms (out Monday) is three minutes of lilting summer airiness (shame about all the rain) and Can’t Sing Straight is a hilarious country hoedown.

Here, Teddy discusses the album, his parents and his recipe for survival in the choppy waters of the music business. He also explains why he’s not ashamed to be “retro”.

Cheryl's the hot new judge. Dannii's feeling left out. But Louis Walsh says he's keeping shtum - honest!

Louis Walsh says he is doing his very best not to be bitchy. After last year’s X Factor, when his fellow judge and friend Sharon Osbourne went to very public war with new girl Dannii Minogue, the Irish pop manager claims he is biting his tongue, saying: ‘I’m going to be nice this year. I’m not going to get into trouble with anybody.’

But X Factor kicks off once again tomorrow night and Louis, known for being mischievous, just can’t help himself.

He doesn’t explicitly criticise Dannii, but makes his feelings obvious. Although he refuses to confirm there is tension between the Australian singer and new judge Cheryl Cole, he hints there is.
