Synopsis:
When I tell him I'm interviewing the squeaky-clean star of Walt Disney's High School Musical, my 12-year-old son sniffs: 'Oh no, Mum, not Zac Efron. He's so gay.'
Then he happens to mention it to a few of his female friends. There is a collective swoon and a chorus of voices begging: 'Please, please ask your mum for his autograph.'
'Ahem, Mum,' he backtracks. 'I'm not saying Zac Efron is cool, but for some reason the girls at school love him, so I was wondering...'
